They say your social media profile says a lot about you. Some people treat every meal like a photoshoot, some can’t resist jumping on every trend, while others quietly post once every few months and somehow still become everyone’s favourite account.
It got me wondering… what if the residents of Wildlife SOS had social media profiles too?
After what I can only assume was an accidental invitation to the internet’s most exclusive platform—WildlifeGram—I found myself scrolling through the feeds of some rather familiar faces. No filters, no sponsored posts, just a whole lot of personality.
Here’s what my feed looks like.
🐘 @RainChaserChanchal
WildlifeGram clearly knows my type because Chanchal was the very first account it recommended.
One scroll in and I realised her feed has only two types of images: “It’s raining!” and “Let’s go exploring!” The moment the first drizzle arrives, she’s already trumpeting with excitement and charging trunk-first into the nearest muddy patch, while everyone else is still deciding whether it’s worth getting wet.
Her reels are a delightful mix of muddy makeovers, splash-filled pool sessions and scenic walks through fresh greenery. But Chanchal is never alone for long. Her favourite co-stars—Laxmi and Bijli—appear in almost every post, usually being gently nudged forward because their fearless friend has already decided it’s time for the next adventure.
The comments under pictures are more than revelatory:
“Chanchal waited exactly three seconds before jumping into the mud.”
“Poor Laxmi just wanted another snack break.”
“Bijli understood the assignment.”
Whether she’s figuring out enrichment puzzles before everyone else or leading her little herd through rain-soaked mornings, Chanchal has all the energy of the friend who plans every outing and somehow convinces everyone else to come along

Some influencers have a carefully curated aesthetic.
Jenny has chaos.
One minute she’s balancing confidently on tree branches like an experienced explorer. Next, she’s nose-deep in the soil, following a trail of ants with the determination of a detective solving the biggest mystery of her life. Every insect deserves investigating, every termite mound deserves excavating and every successful slurp is occasionally followed by an adorable sneeze.
Her reels are wonderfully unpredictable. One features an enthusiastic splash session in the pool. Another captures her enthusiastically charging toward her caregiver with all 39 kilograms of furry excitement. And if anyone dares to reach for her feeding bowl? Expect a soundtrack of tiny, indignant squeaks reminding everyone that lunch is strictly not for sharing.
Scrolling through Jenny’s profile feels like watching someone discover the world for the very first time and somehow reminding me to stay curious too.

Some social media creators have a niche.
Coconut’s niche is making every single day feel like a pool party.
And she prefers to be called Coco instead. Coco’s feed is an endless stream of cannonball shots of water, dramatic mud spa sessions and sprinkler selfies. The moment she spots a freshly filled pool, she’s already rolling, splashing and having the time of her life, especially if her caregivers arrive with bananas and watermelons that she clearly considers as “premium poolside service”.
Once the swim is over, the skincare routine begins. Coco heads straight for her favourite mud patch, coating herself from trunk to tail in a cooling layer of earth before proudly showing off the results as though she’s just discovered nature’s greatest beauty secret.
But the real entertainment starts during her walks. Every outing ends the same way: when it’s time to head back to her field, Coco suddenly develops selective hearing. Calls from her caregiver? Completely ignored. One more lap around the enclosure? Absolutely necessary. The only sound capable of ending her adventure is the unmistakable rustle of roasted chickpeas and dates. Somehow, that gets an immediate response.

After the wonderfully chaotic feeds of Chanchal and Coconut, scrolling to find Laxmi’s profile feels refreshing… until you realise that almost every other post somehow revolves around food.
Morning walks? It’s the time to stop for fresh leaves.
Afternoon stroll? It’s yet another snack break.
Group outing with Chanchal and Bijli? She is sure that nobody will notice when she quietly helps herself with a mouthful of someone else’s treats.
Her reels are filled with peaceful walks alongside her best friends, relaxing beneath shady trees after cooling off under the sprinklers, and cosy winter evenings spent huddled together by the bonfire. Every now and then, Chanchal can be seen patiently encouraging the group forward, while Laxmi is still convinced that this particular patch of greenery deserves just a little more attention.
The comments section for her images never disappoints:
“Laxmi blinked and somehow found another snack.”
“Caught stealing fodder… again.”
“Chanchal is running a hiking club. Laxmi signed up for the buffet.”
Despite her legendary appetite, it’s her friendship with Chanchal and Bijli that steals the spotlight. Whether they’re pausing for their mysterious little “elephant meetings”, waiting patiently for one another during walks, or ending the day side by side after a refreshing splash, the trio proves that the best adventures are always shared.

Some social media personalities need not make an effort to become famous.
And that’s because someone else is constantly tagging him in her posts.
I came across Suri‘s profile after finding Kamli’s @KamliForever. While Suri is an infrequent social media user, his regular dos have been very well visible. Suri is seen giving a wholesome review of honey-filled snacks, taking leisurely strolls across his space, and using his favourite tyre hammock to enjoy peaceful moments until Kamli decides she’d quite like that spot too. Their playful “who gets the hammock?” saga has become WildlifeGram’s longest-running series, and judging by the views and reactions, followers just can’t get enough.
Kamli is actually the real star of Suri’s page. She brings herself in almost every post, story or reel. Whether she’s following him around the enclosure, gently resting her face against him or quietly humming beside him, the two are rarely seen apart. If someone were to ask who’s internet’s favourite wildlife couple, Suri and Kamli would win by a landslide.

Not every wildlife influencer craves the spotlight.
Some wonder why they are attracting so much attention. And to stay away from the paparazzi, they know exactly how to remain undercover.
Natalie has mastered the art of remaining unseen. Her followers know that spotting her in a reel is a reward in itself. She has nicknamed herself as Titli (butterfly) because of the smooth way she flits through the greens, appearing one moment and disappearing in the next. Sometimes though, she doesn’t mind checking up on her highly active brother George who lives in an enclosure nearby.
And yet, her feed remains quite active. Which is when I found out that this graceful leopard is a high-profile influencer, and doesn’t maintain her profile all by herself. The agency she has hired indeed has a tough time to keep it running. This is why her feed includes an aesthetic blend of tree-top viewpoints, camouflage masterclasses, dramatic slow-motion leaps and the occasional behind-the-leaves selfie (when she is in the mood to post one). If there’s one thing Natalie refuses to compromise on, it’s her privacy. The spotted celebrity will suddenly go AWOL whenever she wishes to, giving the photographers a hard time to find her
Logging Off… For Now
After spending far too much time scrolling WildlifeGram, one thing became clear: none of these personalities actually needed a carefully crafted online presence to stand out.
Chanchal’s spirit, Jenny’s curiosity, Coconut’s charm, Laxmi’s wonderfully food-first outlook on life, Suri’s “love life” and Natalie’s elusiveness are all wonderfully real. These aren’t characters created for the internet; they’re individuals whose unique personalities shine through every splash, every curious sniff, every relaxed stroll and every joyful snack break.
Thankfully, they don’t need followers or trending hashtags to tell their stories.
Every day at Wildlife SOS, caregivers witness these unforgettable moments firsthand, building bonds with rescued animals who continue to surprise us with just how distinctive they truly are.
And while WildlifeGram may only exist in my imagination, the incredible personalities behind these imaginary profiles are very much true to how we described them!
